Local Welfare Provision in England is delivered by Local Authorities.
In Wales it is a national scheme via the DAF fund(Discretionary Assistance Fund).
Changes have been made to the rules from 1/7/2025-
Domestic violence- 'a person who is feeing domestic abuse and applying for the frst time for an Emergency
Assistance Payment (EAP) can now receive and enhanced payment of £111 when supported by an Approved
Partner. Additionally, an Individual Assistance Payment (IAP) application for a person feeing domestic abuse is no
longer restricted only to those in receipt of a means tested beneft.'
Exceptional Items Criteria- 'a grant support for fooring and a heated air dryer' are in receipt of Attendance Allowance.'
