Last week the government announced lots of changes to benefits in the future. Here are some of the findings
from the 'Spring Statement 2025 health and disability benefit reforms – Impacts'. also Equality Analysis
Poverty- It is estimated that there will be an additional 250,000 working age adults(plus 50,000 children) in relative
poverty after housing costs in fnancial year ending (FYE) 2030 , and 150,000 workin age adults(plus 50,000)
children in absolute poverty after housing costs.
Disabled People- 370,000 current PIP recipients will lose entitlement (when they have their award reviewed) and
430,000 future recipients will not receive PIP to which they would otherwise have been entitled, with an average
loss of £4,500 per year.
Carers- 150,000 people will not receive carer's allowance or the carer element of Universal Credit due to the
