Sight loss- adjustments to be made by DWP staff- 'longer appointments;  tailored support when accessing the internet and completing forms;  home visits for people unable to access the jobcentre; and additional support through the Work and Health and Access to Work programmes' 

UC Advance Payment Fraud- Due to problems with fraud particularly over the last year or so,  clients must now have their identity checked at a Job Centre before an advance payment of Universal Credit can be made at the start of a claim.  It won't be sufficient to confirm identity online only.

Childcare Costs-The law has changed to afford clients an extra month in which to declare a change of childcare costs.  The government has confirmed extra help it can give those with childcare costs through the flexible support fund via work coaches- '    Deposit – To pay a provider a one off advance payment of childcare costs.Retainer – To pay a provider a one off advance payment to secure the nursery provision prior to the parent starting work or training.        Fees – To pay a provider upfront childcare fees in advance of the service being delivered; and Taster/Settling in periods – To pay a provider a one off advance payment to enable the parent to prepare their child before taking up the full childcare offer.
