Latest official news on PIP tells us-
● On the 31st July 2014, 106,000 people had a PIP claim in payment.
● Of all new-claim decisions 55% lead to PIP being awarded.
In some areas DLA claims are being reassessed. The government estimate 25% of DLA claimants(that's 500,000 claimants) will lose their DLA and not get any PIP. Early indications are that this may happen-
● For reassessment clearances, 28% resulted in no PIP award(including where claimants did not pursue a claim) or
21% where an actual decision was made(not including where a claimant did not pursue a claim).
