Conditionality is what a claimant needs to do to keep their benefit. From 28/4/2014 theLaw has changed (here's the guidance) to increase that conditionality. Interviews- For lone parents on income support with a child aged between 1 and 5, instead of work focussed interviews at regular intervals, the frequency and length of their interviews will be determined by advisers and so could be more frequent. Mandatory work related activity will also be expected if the lone parent has a child age 3 or 4. A sanction could apply if they do not cooperate set at 20% of the personal allowance for single over 25's. Claimants won't have to apply for jobs.
