The government want to hear your views on how PIP is working. The call for evidence lasts up until up to 5pm on 16/9/2016. This is the second independent review of PIP and '... will be used to inform the Independent Reviewer’s conclusions. The Independent Reviewer will then make recommendations to the Secretary of State, which will be laid before Parliament in the form of a report to which the Government will produce a response.'
Particular issues are'...how evidence that a PIP claimant has already obtained, such as a care plan, or specialist report from a health professional, is currently being used to assist the claim decision,...how data may be better shared across the Department and with external organisations, such as the health and social care sector, to support the claim process....quality and consistency of assessments and the claimant experience at all stages of the process.
