At the end of April the DWP is starting to send explanatory letters to claimants who may lose benefit due to the Benefits Cap being introduced in April 2013.   
The Benefit Cap is a new cut in benefits for those getting more in benefits than the average wage(currently around £350 a week for single adults with no children and at £500 a week for couples (with or without children) and lone parents with dependant children).  It will be deducted off Housing Benefit.
Claimants getting Disability living Allowance,  Attendance Allowance,  Working Tax Credit,  War widows/ widowers pension are exempt.
