does client have to migrate to UC on PIP and ESA? - Mon, 23/09/2024 - 16:27
Ive taken a few calls this morning from people who are receiving migration letters asking them to apply for Universal Credit.
A lady I have just spoken to is on income related ESA along with Child tax credits , child benefit and PIP. She has received a letter saying that she needs to apply for UC by the end of October. She said that she had googled on line whether she had to claim UC and something came up saying that those people who are on PIP alongside ESA do not have to claim UC and can stay on ESA. I hadnt heard this. Do you know if this is true? Told her she needs to be careful to apply in time or she will have to prove again her incapacity for work again.
